We all met for our breakfast and mapped out our quest! First stop was to be home of Sherlock Holmes. We got off the tube at Marble Arch - originally a arch at Buckingham Palace but when they expanded the Palace they moved it to the entrance of Hyde Park. Unfortunately we never found Sherlock Holmes residence!
As we were walking back to the tube I took some pictures of the buildings and other things.
David and Michael checking the map
Beautiful gowns in this window
I wanted the Royal Baby Carriage Pandora Charm but Michael was walking really fast!
Back on the tube heading to hotel to change.
Our Hotel
Yes Wayne that is a Waffle Cone! Yes there is a story here for everyone else......;)
After tea we headed to the Apollo Theater where we saw Wicked! Can I just say that Wicked had so many surprises that I never saw coming. Thank you Wayne and Freida for seeing it. 3rd time just so we could see it! Funny story.......the theater seats are very tight here and I was standing up during intermission and went to sit down thinking that as I sat down the seat would fold down for me....NOT I slide right on down and caught myself before I got wedged in the seat. Grace and I laughed so hard we were crying and our sides hurt. I am sure I was quite a sight. :)
David has been an awesome navigator for us without his direction I know I would still be wondering around seeing nothing.
We walked 7 miles, 46 set of stairs and 16,329 steps today! We are tired and have sore feet and legs. And a few of us have boo boos!!!
So much fun in London but tonight we are packing up to head to the Carnival Legend in the morning in Dover, England we will be at sea all day Wednesday and I think we will all make good use of that time to rest! Then we will be in Denmark on Thursday! Can't wait for the next adventure to begin!
Signing off from London, England but stay tuned for more fun and adventures!
