After our morning breakfast it was time to say goodbye to
London. While Michael and I were getting
our luggage out of our room I picked up a bottle soda that he was drinking and
placed it standing up in my purse (as we all know I carry a bag really not a
purse) and standing and waiting to check out I kept feeling a drip on my
foot. I looked over and the soda wasn’t
capped tightly and now my purse was full of diet coke. What a mess.
But you will all be happy to know that Michael saved the Euros from
becoming drenched.
It was a beautiful
drive from London to Dover. We drove by
everything we had seen and a few others that we hadn’t seen while driving out
of London. We are all tired from our
push to do as much as possible while in London.
Wayne and I took a nap and our driver about froze us out of the car….yes
everyone I was cold!
Upon arriving into Dover we were delighted to see the White
Cliffs and Dover Castle immediately. We
only wish we would have had a chance to venture out but we had to check in with
our luggage so onto the ship we went….plus it was buffet time.
Dover Castle and the White Cliffs
We had a wonderful lunch and then we came back to find our
luggage her e and the unpacking began.
Michael raced off to the laundry with all our dirty clothes. The man loves doing laundry. It is done now.
We had a required muster drill then back to the room and David
opened up our balconies since we have 3 cabins’ in a row. Now when we are on our decks we can all visit
and check out the scenery.
David’s Aunt’s Lavinia and Francis….I hope I spelled names
correctly….have joined us on our cruise and we are off to dinner to see if we
can have them sit with us. The Maitre D
was very nice and said he would work on this for our dinners starting
tomorrow. So we have our fingers
crossed. But tonight we aren’t able to sit together.
Dinner was wonderful and our wait staff are awesome.
Wayne was determined to get on!
We are all back in our rooms and taking advantage of an
early night!
Check out what we found when we got back from dinner. He was hanging out with my sunglasses on in a
darkened room.
Not sure how much we walked today but I am sure not as much
as we have the last 3 days. But we plan
to find the deck tomorrow to walk and we are using the stairs on the ship.
