Mammoth Hot Springs and Crazy Horse

After a good night's sleep! We got  up and enjoyed some nature before we were off to breakfast.

Everyone we have encountered is so friendly and welcoming. Most of the workers here are seasonal workers and return back to their homes the first of November approximately.

Picture below is of Tommy getting some wildlife pictures this morning.

Michael, Mark and Vickie were watching Tommy when I caught this picture.

After breakfast we left to drive to Mammoth Hot Springs on of the oldest and largest paleontologist dig. I am sure I took way too many pictures but what is new. 😉 I promise to only share a few here.

Next stop is to see the Crazy Horse Memorial!

After returning from our tours we took a walk and enjoyed the scenery here at Custer!

Funny story--on our walk tonight Freida asks us if we saw the dead mouse getting off the bus today! I kept working thru this in my mind and said how did a dead mouse get off the bus? Huge roars of laughter when everyone realizes I didn't understand that she meant when we got off the bus did we see the dead mouse!😂😂

We are ending our day around the fire pit on the balcony outside our rooms.

Stay tuned we are off to Mount Rushmore and Deadwood tomorrow morning!
