Day 1 of the Classic Lodges & Parks of the West Globus Tour

After a very early morning wake up...3:00 am.....we were  out of the hotel  at 4:00 am for our 6:00 am flight.  It is time for our yearly adventure with our travel friends.   It is going to be a wonderful adventure for sure!

We landed in Rapid City and headed to our hotel and on the way we were able to see the Black Hills in a distance.  Oh how exciting it is to be here!

Once we were checked into our hotel in Rapid City, SD we all headed to the Firehouse Brewing Company in the old Rapid City Firehouse that has been renovated.  Of course those who know Michael know he was in his element.  Plus we have the greatest friends that knew instantly we had to go there for him.  The food was wonderful no one had any complaints nor did anyone leave hungry.

After lunch/dinner (we are all time confused today now going from EDT to CDT to MDT) we took a stroll down Main St to see the statues they have on every corner of Presidents of the United States. Following are a few of the pictures I took today.

Our next stop was at Armadillos Ice Cream shop for our daily fix of ice cream! This is one of the many ice cream shops on our trip that Michael has found for us to find and try.

Then we found Art Alley and took some pictures of the art work.  

Tonight we had a meet and greet with our tour director and the 32 people joining us on this adventure.

Tomorrow we are out of here at 8:00 am and off to the Badlands National Park, a visit to the famous Wall Drug then to Custer State Park! I am sure we will have many adventures to share.

Believe it our not my Fitbit shows I have walked 11,403 steps and 4.47 miles today!
