Final Day - Killarney to Bunratty

Headed out at 8 am to get to the ferry so we could cross the River Shannon.

 Required firehouse photo!

After getting off the ferry we headed to the Cliffs of Moher

After the Cliffs we headed to Bunratty !

There was a wedding reception getting under way as we arrived.

During a battle in 1475 it fell into the hands of the O’Brien clan who were granted the title of ‘Earls of Thomond’ by Henry VIII but later surrendered Bunratty to Cromwell’s troops. The last family to live at Bunratty was the Studdart family; they left in 1804 when it fell into disrepair.

All vacations come to an end but the memories are always there to remind you of the wonderful time you had!  We were so fortunate after our delay in getting started on our vacation because the rain was never a factor for us.  In fact everyone here has told us that we were so lucky to get this weather.  Where have we heard this before...Alaska Cruise the London & Baltic cruise all perfect weather!  So thankful to be able to travel with Michael and our friends.  We are blessed.

Heading off to bed since 4 am comes mighty early.  We are departing at 5:45 am to head to airport. Sleeping in our own beds tomorrow night.
