Killarney 5/30/14

What a fun day!  After breakfast we went on a jaunting car ride (which turned out to be the Irish version of a car is a horse and buggy)  to see Ross Castle set on Lough Leane!  Michael John was our driver and believe it or not our horse's name was Judy and he even called her Judith.  I would have never guessed it would be so much fun.  I do think that this may have been Mark's most favorite thing so far he just couldn't stop laughing and smiling. :)

Only horses, joggers and walkers/runners are allowed in the park no motor vehicles!

 Red Deer!

Wayne drove us for a while!  He did a great job!!
 David and Grace having fun.
 Ross Castle
Judi with Judy the horse of course!!

The gang minus Michael as we are not sure where he ran off to. LOL

Back on the bus to Moriartys  of  the  Gap of  Dunloe! A very nice woolen and gift shop!

See what I found to look at "patches".  Woolens just seemed to be too hot for me!

A deer....a John Deere that is!  That is always something our driver says when he sees one.

After that we headed to the Ring Of Kerry drive - s a 179-km-long circular tourist route in County Kerry, south-western Ireland. Clockwise from Killarney it follows the N71 to Kenmare, then the N70 around the Iveragh Peninsula to Killorglin – passing through SneemWaterville,Cahersiveen, and Glenbeigh – before returning to Killarney via the N72.

Paul messing with me because I shared the story with him and his wife about Mr. & Mrs. Snappy last year in Russia!

David always working to get the best pictures for us!

Rhododendrons are growing wild here in fact they refer to them as weeds!

We visited the Skellig Experience - Over one thousand four hundred years ago a small group of men were searching for a place to practice their religion in solitude and isolation. These remarkable men ventured into the open ocean off southwest Ireland determined to build a monastery on one of the most extraordinary locations on earth.before finishing the Ring of Kerry!

Skellig Islands you can barely make them out!

See the house built into the land that looks like a ship?

We then finished the Ring of Kerry before heading back to the hotel. We headed out to find the Pandora store and this time it was much easier!  Then a little more shopping and dinner at O'Donoghue's where a brand new waiter spilled a glass and I mean tall glass of  ice water on me.  I was in shock to stunned to speak.  I know hard to believe right?

Tomorrow is our last day and we are taking a ferry across the River Shannon to reach the Cliffs of Moher and much more fun planned.  So stay tuned..........
