Vigo Spain

Today we are in Vigo, Spain. We had to set our clocks ahead last night and get up early for breakfast before our tour. The day started out grey and overcast with a chance of rain. No sunrise pictures again today. 

Fun Fact~it’s said that Vigo nickname “Olive City” was bestowed when that symbol of peace, planted in sacred ground in the city, resisted being uprooted following a long-ago war! 

Also today was David’s birthday!  He may be ready to throw me overboard but I do believe we have celebrated him well. 🥳

A few pictures below as we traveled to our tour. 

But when we arrived  for our tour of Galician Historical Gardens the sun came out and we had a beautiful day. 

Magnolias were beautiful 🤩

We visited their vineyards where they only make white wine. 

This tree below is an oak on the bottom and cherry on top. They have grafted the two together and this one is about 13 years old.

Then they had us come into where they make their wine. 

They served a tasting and tapas. Those olives were delicious. 

This was cheese and it was delicious 😋 



Coby helping clean up. By the way we didn’t have to do that he is just a very kind and helpful young man. He is always there to help us when we need help up and down the steps too. ❤️

This tree was uses to make corks for their wine bottles years ago. 

After shopping in the store we headed to our next stop. 

After the tour we headed back to port!
