Good morning sunrise from Gibraltar.
Our driver was Morris and and our Guide was Angel. After boarding the bus we were off to drive to the southern coast of Gibraltar to see the Light House and from there we could see Morocco which is 7 miles across the Mediterranean.
The drive to the coast was through several tunnels 2 of them were so small our bus could barely fit or at least that was my perception before closing my eyes and clutching Michael’s arm! π¬
Finally we made it to the coast!
There in the distance is Morocco

Monument to the evacuation of Gibraltarians on roundabout at N Mole Rd, Gibraltar
Next stop was the cable car to the top of the rock. A few pictures of the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue at the base before boarding the cable car.
Here comes a cable car.
We all boarded the cable car to the top and caught a view of our ship.
Our first sighting of the Barbary Apes…not the be called Monkeys. π They are a tailless species also called Rock Apes.
Time for breakfast π
We boarded the cable car and got off 1/2 way down on a very small platform to see more Apes.
Almost too close for me. π€£
Freida and Coby were much braver than me.
The Gang is all here! π€£
Next we boarded our bus to head to the Great Siege tunnels. When we arrived we were greeted by these apes.
Now I know y’all are wondering did I go in!
Yep and here is proof
Now did I go all the way to the bottom…no I went part way and came back out with a few others. One of our group that came out with too went to sit on a bench and one of the apes joined her.
Next we headed back to our port and our ship. Our guide Angel was the best. He made sure we all were ok and gave us breaks as we climbed up hills and I promise you it felt like mountain climbing going from parking lot up to the top to enter the Great Siege Tunnels. Afterwards he had the driver take the people who wanted to stay in town and have lunch to the location he recommend for lunch and even escorted them to the restaurant and ran back to the bus to get us to port.

No sunset photo as it was a very late sunset and our cabin was on the wrong side to catch it.
Lisbon is next stop.
