We woke to a bit of rain and fog this morning as we dropped off some of our travelers in Roth Germany for a tour then we continued on our trip towards Nuremberg. We had breakfast and then a leisurely morning and when we docked in Nuremberg we were blessed with sun and nice weather. It was time for lunch and then after lunch we headed out on buses for a tour of the city via bus and walking ending up at the Christmas Market that opened here yesterday. Wow can we say CROWDS! It was hard to get up to a lot of the stalls but we did get to a few of them and picked up some things.
We traveled 27 locks from start to finish of this trip and 10 of them were today alone. I think Michael posted a video that he tagged me in to show the last lock.
We headed back to the ship at about 5:15 and Michael and I started packing up for our departure tomorrow morning as we head to Prague.
We had our last dinner in the dining room with I must say the best 3 servers of any I have had before anywhere. They were a great team with a sense of humor and a willingness to do whatever they could to ensure we were enjoying our meals.
Here are a few pictures for you.
Bernice with one of our servers Radu (I think I spelled his name correctly) this morning. He has such a sweet caring heart.
Nuremberg Castle (German: Nürnberger Burg) is a group of medieval fortified buildings on a sandstoneridge dominating the historical center of Nuremberg in Bavaria, Germany.
The castle, together with the city walls, is considered to be one of Europe's most formidable medieval fortifications.[1] It represented the power and importance of the Holy Roman Empire and the outstanding role of the Imperial City of Nuremberg.[2] - Wikipedia
