Prague Day 3 ~ 12/4/18

Our last day in Prague was just as wonderful as yesterday.  We all took it a bit slower this morning and after a later than our normal breakfast we headed out for some shopping at stores Nikola our guide yesterday recommended to us. On our way we found out that St Giles was holding a Grandiose Christmas Organ Concert.  We got our tickets for later on and continued on our way shopping.  We had a rest stop in a

The men checking out the map to make sure we are going the right way to our stores.

It was time to take a break

Hot chocolate with ice cream is a winner.  Don't believe me just try it!

I needed sunglasses today at times.  YAY that was fun instead of rain.
Back at the Old Town Square for a walk around the Christmas Market one last time. :)

Michael tried out their Grilled Cheese on a slice of bread.  It was so good much different than our grilled cheese.

On our way to the Organ Concert

This was a Mime and we just couldn't figure out how he held that position...

Last dessert shredded pancake with vanilla ice cream and hot raspberries.

Prague didn't disappoint it is absolutely a beautiful place to visit and explore. We saw so much more than I could ever cover in this blog each day for you. But I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared from our Romantic Danube River Cruise and our visit here in Prague.   We are heading out in the morning to fly home tomorrow afternoon.  As much fun as we have had we are ready to come home to our family and friends.  See you all soon!

Fitbit stats for today.....13,851 steps, 5.41 miles and 5 floors and today it gave me 26 activity minutes. Not sure why today and not yesterday or any other day. lol

Total stats for 11/25 - 101,332 steps, 42.68 miles, 94 floors, only 73 active minutes...how can it only be 73 minutes. lol :)

Prague Day 2 ~ 12/3/18

Prague is a beautiful city.  So rich in history and beautiful architecture.  You have the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Classicism or Empire Style, Historicism, Moorish revival, Art Nouveau, Cubism and RondocubismFunctionalism and a few more.  Here is a link to explain them if you are interested and see if you can figure out the styles from our pictures.  https://www.prague-stay.com/lifestyle/category/36-prague-architecture

We started the day off with breakfast here at our hotel then we left  out on a beautiful morning to meet our guide at the Municipal House.  Walking is hard here everything cobblestones.  There is no concrete or asphalt side walks and roads.  Cross walks are at your own risks if you don't  make eye contact with the drivers it could get interesting.  EEK  But honestly you learn how to do it and go on and have a great day.

Girls and their boots!  We truly all felt these boots kept our feet warm and dry and trust me we needed these for those rainy and cold days. If you need a pair we got them at Costco!

We did a walking tour of the city starting in Old Town where we go there in time to se the  Famous Astronomical Clock perform....not a good word but it did draw a huge crowd. We also were treated to one of their Spa wafers a very classic Czech snack.

Our guide Nikola below getting us started

Cool cars like this everywhere for tours

Later we headed towards Prague Castle we got to ride their Tram/bus/train but we would would call it a trolley it runs on rails and is electric powered.  The castle has Palace Guards just like Buckingham Palace.  The Czech military was all around due to their President of Prague's office being within the Palace gates and he was in the country.  If he is in the country the Flag is up and it was flying.

We visited St Vitus Cathedral at the Palace.  They still hold morning mass everyday and a Sunday mass.  although I don't believe it has any heat at all.  It was cold in there and we had encountered rain yet again when we arrived.  We observed the changing of the palace guards and I believe Michael tagged me in a video on Facebook if you want to see.

Off we go down the hill we go to head to lunch.  It was a typical  Czech restaurant.

Then we headed to our Vltava River Cruise. Where we were served tea, coffee, lemonade..which I believe was more like a sprite.  We were given a gingerbread treat that had a plum jam middle and covered with chocolate.

Check out all the swans in the river

After the cruise we walked some more to end up at Wenceslas Square which was a short walk to our hotel.

We rested for a few hours and we were off to walk to dinner at Restaurace Pagana!

Flambed Spaghetti in parmesan

Finished product...oh so yummy

Everything was delicious. Then we had a nice walk back to our hotel.

Fitbit Stats for 12/3/18 18,215 steps, 7.12 miles and 5 floors

I think we all slept pretty good after our day in Prague.

Stay tuned.....
