Swans swimming in the Seine River!
Our first good view of Notre Dame! If you look at the bottom left corner you will see barred windows. That is the area that the Germans held the French Jews before they were shipped out on barges. Below you will see the locks that people would put locks on the grates and other areas on bridges along the Seine to signifying their undying love for each other. Once the hasp is locked they throw the key into the river. You see these everyone along the banks. The City has banned the practice because they have damaged the fencing and railing along the river. They are in the process of removing the. There are a lot of people unhappy with these being removed.

The Louvre
The Conciergerie (French pronunciation: [kɔ̃sjɛʁʒəʁi]) is a building in Paris, France, located on the west of the Île de la Cité(literally "Island of the City"), formerly a prison but presently used mostly for law courts. It was part of the former royal palace, the Palais de la Cité, which consisted of the Conciergerie, Palais de Justice and the Sainte-Chapelle. Hundreds of prisoners during the French Revolution were taken from the Conciergerie to be executed by guillotine at a number of locations around Paris. This is where Marie Antionette was held before they cut off her head. YIKES
