Travel Day! ✈️ and Day 1

Wow we have been waiting a long time for this trip and the day has finally arrived.

I was up early checking my list, adding to my list and finally think we are packed.

Not at all happy with my clothes. I miss Dress Barn so much their clothes always made me feel good. Ok that’s said and done. 😂

On a lighter note Murphy may be feeling much like the cat below. But he wouldn’t like the ride to airport or the plane either so he is staying behind.

I find packing for 2 weeks difficult in one suitcase. But somehow we managed.

I did tell Michael if  we need room for souvenirs his clothes get left behind. Hey it is much easier to shop for him than me so he will be ok with a new wardrobe. 🤷‍♀️

The gang is ready to go! Thank you Kenny, Bright Day Transit Shuttle Service, for taking us to the airport. Fredericksburg family and friends if you need transportation look them up.

Made it timely to the airport but we had a little delay so arrived in Brussels about 1/2 hour late. Viking rep met us and took us to our bus to head to Bruges. After checking in we went in search of food while we waited for our rooms to be ready. Just a few pictures along the way to lunch.

Below is the gate at the entrance of our hotel.

The market square below the bell was chiming as we entered the square.

Horse and buggy rides…maybe tomorrow you never know. 😉

Michael found those mussels he has been reading about and was very happy with his choice.

I chose a ham and cheese omelette with a small salad. Very good for me. 😀

Very dehydrated feeling so I had water and Michael asked for tea. The water asked sparkling and I said no just still for me and he said to Michael “sparkling tea” so and that’s what he got. He said it was actually very good. Even picked up another one at the store when I was getting bottled water for the room.

Sparkling Tea is real

Oh of course he did!! Michael fell asleep after he finished eating lunch!! ❤️#michaelsleeping

We came back to our hotel and started getting room assignments. Very nice rooms.

We met at dinner time here at the hotel for small plates and they set us up in an area we had to ourselves. Very nice to decompress and plan for tomorrow.

Some of our dinner choices tonight.

Stay tuned tomorrow we will have more to share.  But it is bedtime for us now. 😴
