First full day in Curacao

Oh what a relaxing day this has been!  Michael and I woke up very early....5:30 ish and I ordered us some coffee and I started working on the first blog I posted this morning about yesterday. Y'all it has been so long since I was able to do a travel blog I forgot the name and how to find it. Oh but never fear I finally did figure it out as you saw.  If nothing else I am transparent and laugh at my own adventures.

Breakfast was a nice buffet.  After breakfast we had to go and schedule our 2 other Covid tests.  We will have one 3 days after arrival so that will be Tuesday morning at 8 am.  Then our final test is Friday at 8 am and this is for us to return to the US on Saturday.  Again some things are different right now but I will say the resort has made it very simple for us and takes care of everything.

After the tests were scheduled we were off to the pool and found the those cabana style beds to sit at for the day.  Michael went to the beach since he loves sand.  The girls decided to get into the pool  it was a bit chilly getting in but once in it felt good.

The water is 5 feet deep...hmmm I am 5 ft tall. I was a side of the pool hugger.  😜  We walked around the edge until there was finally a spot to sit that wasn't too deep for me so I could keep my head above water. It was time for water aerobics. or we saw tonight was really water dance.... hmmm yep we let our new friend, the instructor, talk us into joining her.  Sitting there I was doing good until it was time to stand up and everyone else was able to get into the middle of the pool. Well you know that wasn't going to work for me.  So hugging the side of the pool I did the best I could do! Now I am sure the entertainment value was priceless.  Tomorrow she is bringing a noodle or a ring for me. 😂  There are NO pictures of this water aerobic experience nor will there be any tomorrow or any other day. Just have to visualize it yourself.  🤣

We relaxed by the pool then off to the seaside BBQ lunch, hamburgers, hotdogs,  and the fixings, some fried fish that I must say was very good.  I only had 2 small pieces but I could have had much more.  Afterwards we went back to the pool but the sun was really coming over us so decided to head back to room to shower and relax...our rooms and the pool and beach are on the west side and the afternoon soon is pretty hot. But we had a beautiful morning to enjoy and relax.

Off to dinner at the Seaside Grill.  We got there in time to see another beautiful sunset.  Sunsets are much earlier here than at home.

Most of us had steak and shrimp and they cooked our steak a perfect for each one of us,  Michael had ribs and he said they were very good.  Grace had chicken. and declared everything delicious.  It is very breezy by the beach so the plantains that decorated our plates were flying away from some of the plates.  Fortunately everyone that wanted it got to have one.

Ok yes there was dessert too!  There were bowls of ice cream too for others....I will do better with the food pictures tomorrow I hope.

Chocolate brownie with ice cream

Passion Fruit Cheesecake

Michael was very happy to see some cats too. 🐈    I am shaking my head here behind this computer screen because we have pictures to share of course.

A very nice 1st full day at the resort! Off to bed to rest up for more fun tomorrow.

STAY TUNED...........
